Previous Workouts

Tues. - July 4, 2006 (PM) - Walk/jog... 30 mins (5 min w/u; 60 sec jog/90 sec walk intervals 15; 5 min c/d; 5 min stretch) This wasn't too bad. My first real workout after the Danskin tri, and it was crazy muggy. I was getting winded by the end, but then it started to rain!

Thurs - July 6, 2006 (AM) - Walk/jog... 30 mins (5 min w/u; 60 sec jog/90 sec walk intervals 15; 5 min c/d; 5 min stretch) Same as Tuesday's workout. It was tougher in the morning, but still manageable.

Fri - July 7, 2006 (Lunch) - Walk/gym... 60 mins (Tred n Shred class at Pure. 10 min w/u; 5 mins at 6% incline 3.5-.8 mph / 3 mins at 10% incline2.2-.6 mph intervals-5x; 5 min at 0% incline 3.8-4.5 mph; 5 min c/d--total mileage: 3) I was very pleased with how "doable" this workout was for me. The purpose of the intervals was to help us moderate our speed so we could recover even at a 10% incline. At the end I was still able to walk/jog for 5 minutes.

Sat - July 8, 2006 (PM) - Swim/walk/jog... 55 mins (Swim: 460m, 11:15mins; transition 6:45 mins; Walk/jog: 32 mins, 5 min w/u; 60 sec jog/90 sec walk intervals 15; 12 min c/d; 5 min stretch) I got a nice buzz from this workout. It wasn't euphoric or anything, but I was very pleased with my swim performance... I finished the first 230m in 4:41 mins... Then I paused for a minute + before heading back. I did have to roll onto my back twice on the way back, but I didn't make any forward progress, just paused for a couple breaths.

Sun - July 9, 2006 (Noon) - Yoga at the gym. 75 mins. Easy yoga. Included many hip openers and shoulder stand. Felt GREAT!
