Walk/jog (AM) 2.7 miles, 40 mins - 28 mins of 1:1 intervals
Swim (Noon) 700 m, 33 mins - 1.75 laps at Barton Springs pool
Bike (PM) 15 miles, 1:18:xx mins - Actual Generic race route.
Monday was the mini tri. I was really beat for the run portion (sucked that it was first)... I think this may have to do with stretching and more importantly WATER. I am going to try a run/walk one of these mornings with adequate hydration and see if that helps.
The swim was ok. Barton springs has flora and fauna and I am all of a sudden afraid of "bumping into" any... I freaked out when I swam up on the plants for the first time. the second lap I knew to avoid them.
Biking. Sucked. There's a big ass hill right out of the gate, then flat for a bit, then at about 5 miles the rolling hills start and they don't stop til the last kick your ass hill at mile 13 (?!). But there is a big ass downhill right after that last hill and I got going 29.1 mph >into the wind< on my way into the finish. My time? SOOOOO slow but probably pretty close to race day. I only averaged 10.4 mph for the ride. My goal on race day is at least 11.
